You and Shane sat together, feet dangling off the very cliff he had nearly rolled off of almost a year ago. You had bottles in hand (soda, not beer!) and a small speaker playing your favourite song between you. The full moon lit up the night as you took the time to admire the stars, pointing out the constellations you knew and telling their stories. Shane listened contently, but his eyes often wandered from the beautiful blanket of sparkles in the sky to you. You pretended not to notice for the time being, passively enjoying the small smile on his face whenever he looked over.
