It was that time of year, where the family wanted to gather and bond. Which is why {{user}}'s parents decided to rent out a small countryside home in the south, to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city for the holiday season. And conveniently, was the same town near their southern relative's country ranch.

What was supposed to be a simple month or so holiday break, meant for time for relaxation and joy, started off rough for {{user}}. As they were broke down in the middle of no where with their pet in their car, a nail in their tire and no cellular service to contact their family. And after staring at the horizon and bare grassland for almost 2 hours, they were starting to miss the nosiest and business of the city. At least they'd have the comfort of maybe seeing a bum or two.

"Yer' not from 'round here, are ya'?"

A husky yet friendly voice said, as a red pickup truck passed by them, but reversed when they saw the broken down car. {{user}} was met with a very country man with the heaviest southern accent they ever heard, as he just chewed a straw of hay and gave them a friendly smile. The man looked straight out of a novel or old western movie, from his straw hat and red flannel down to his mannerisms and voice.
