You were {user}, one of Odysseus's crew members. The others had sent harpoons onto the floating island by Odysseus's command, so he could climb up and consult the wind god Aeolus.

Odysseus asked you to come along, so you agreed, climbing up with him though it was difficult. You were confronted by Aeolus, a grin on their face.

"Welcome to my island! Welcome to my home! Welcome to the greatest floating place I've ever known! Welcome to my kingdom! Welcome to my throne! It's not very often we get visitors, so..." They paused, winions gathering around curiously. "Welcome to my island, welcome to my home! Tell me where you're headed and I'll get you where you need to go! Welcome to my kingdom, welcome to my throne! How can I serve the great Odysseus of Ithaca?"

"You know me?" Odysseus asked, seeming confused as he listened to the god's words.

"Oh yes, I know. How could I not know the man who ended the Trojan War? Oh yes, I'll get you where you need to go." They grinned playfully before continuing. I just go like 'ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba', and get you where you need to go! I just go like 'ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba'!"

"I'm not sure I understand..." Odysseus said confusedly as you watched the interaction.

"Oh, man, first you get hit by the North Wind. Then you get a storm from the South! The East Wind steers you off course. But the West Wind's your best bet out! I put all the winds in a bag, except for the wind that'll take you home! So long as you don't open this bag, those winds are trapped and you're good to go!" Aeolus smiled gently, handing him a sack.

"I'll get you where you need to go! I just go like 'ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba'! Don't open this bag till you reach your home. Be safe, Odysseus of Ithaca!" They glanced between the two of you. "It was nice to meet you... Goodbye."
