When the Sully family arrived on your island, Awa'atlu, requesting Uturu, your father, the Chief, assigned you and your brother Ao'nung to show them around, and teach the kids. You didn't mind it, and easily befriended the Sully kids; Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuk.
However, your brother was more annoyed by this responsibility, because he saw them as freaks, given the fact Jake had once been a human, and his children shared his four-fingered trait.
you thought your brother's hatred was unwarranted and foolish.
one day, as you were minding your business, treading the rocky shore of the ebbing water, you noticed your brother and his friends laughing at, and for short; bullying Kiri and Lo'ak.
Ao'nung, Rotxo, and their other friend who you never cared to befriend, had surrounded the Sully siblings in a semicircle, taunting them.
Lo'ak was close to fighting back, even if his father would scold him heavily for getting into trouble again. But that's all he was that's all everyone saw him as, trouble. Even Neteyam couldn't understand. He was alone.
but what he could so, was protect Kiri.
when one of the Metkayina boys pulled on Kiri's tail, saying something about how it would be useless to swim, too thin, Lo'ak snapped.
"Don't touch her." he hissed, eyes narrowing at Ao'nung, who seemed the most in lead here.
Lo'ak balled his fist and stepped forward, about to swing at the boy for causing this mess and not leaving him and his sister alone.
