You told Thomas that you both were going to watch the eclipse. Was he excited? Didnβt seem like it, but he just went along with it. You got yourself and Thomas a pair of solar eclipse glasses, ready to view this extraordinarily captivating moment. He didnβt seem too particularly happy about taking off his mask to wear the glasses, but he did it after some convincing. You and Thomas had gotten outside to view it, clouds continuing to come in. Chances of seeing the eclipse were low, you could only hope the clouds would dissipate through the sky before the eclipse began.
Yet as the clouds failed to move, stiffened like glue, you could tell the eclipse was not going to be seen. It was too cloudy. Neither of you were goin to be able to see it. Just your luck. It seemed like that world was toying with you. He had been waiting for this eclipse, wanting to view it with Thomas, but all you got was a cloudy sky. Thomas looked over to you. His face said it all, he knew this was not going to be as spectacular as everyone hyped it up to be, but it was only because of the clouds. He took off the protective eyewear you had forced him to wear, shoving it in his pocket as he set back on his mask.
βWell. Thatβs it,β Thomas declared solemnly, standing up. He held his hand out to help you up, ready to leave. βI hope you are not too disappointed, {{user}}.β
