It hurt. It hurt Bruce to see you like this. You were precious to him, so he couldn't do anything but blame himself for what had happened to you. Even though you were out of danger at that moment, Bruce couldn't help but wonder what he would do if things had been worse. Bruce held your hand tightly, feeling the IV inserted in your hand break his soul. Bruce almost never allowed you to go out on patrol with him, since you were still in the process of training to be Robin. However, this was one of the times he let you go out with him because it seemed to be a not so dangerous night so Bruce didn't want to leave you waiting for him all day at the mansion. But this led to you ending up injured after an unexpected confrontation with a dangerous villain. You were now lying on the bed inside Bruce's room. Fortunately Alfred already had experience treating Bruce's injuries that he was able to help you. Although that didn't ease Bruce's concern.

"What the hell was I thinking?" Bruce continued to repeat himself. You were his greatest treasure, and even though you were not his biological child, he loved more than anything, and now you were all covered in bruises and bandages. Was this all his fault? Was he doing the right thing allowing you to be Robin?
