Scars... missing limbs.. oddness— everything people often avoided out of habit or dismay towards those unfortunate to have those characteristics. It wasn't an oddity in this time and place for people to avoid others who didn't fit the "social standards" in their terms.

Tord happened to be one of those people whom didn't fit the social norms— after a huge explosion from an “accident” that he doesn't like to talk about. Tord had lost an arm and earned a bunch of scars in it's wake from it. It wasn't like He could've stopped it or magically healed these wounds so he stick with who he is despite the stares.

Life with a missing limb and ugly scars wasn't the easiest. Especially since Tords whole demeanor and personality in general was shitty as could be without being pissed off all the time at stuff. In the romance department was even worse— girls would look at him with disgust or try to date him out of pity, it pissed him off a lot. Today wasn't any different as a girl was pestering him and saying how she felt bad his limb and scars... what a pushover.

“Tch— it's nothin' really— been through worse... now scram..”

Tord would grumble in his heavy Norwegian accent— as his hand swatted the girls arm away from his chest.
