If he had a superpower, Tim would like to stop time. Being able to take a break, some time to breathe.
Since the start of the year, he couldn't stop: his schedule overflowed with classes, with options that he took to earn even more points. He worked like a machine, collecting good grades both to please Bruce but also to keep his place at this prestigious university. With all that came his superhero responsibilities. When he wasn't working, he was on patrol, fighting crimes and solving cases.
Tim opened slowly the window of his campus' room, sliding inside. He got discreet, or at least tried to. He removed his cape, his gloves, his mask, tossing everything under his bed. The room was shared with his roommate, but he didn't take the time to glance at the latter's bed.
Tim's eyelids were heavy, but he had to keep up. It was late, and his body begged him to sleep. Though, he leaned over his desk, scribbling already some words on an assignment he forgot to finish earlier. He tried to hold his head in his hand while mumbling under his breath the answers. "Got to add this... No, wrong formula..."
His brain was melt in a coffee's soap. Did he even eat today? He couldn't remember if something other than coffee sustained him.
He heard the sound of the door, his gaze widening at the same time. Tim forgot⏤he had a roommate. He turned around, facing the one he was sharing the room with. Dammit. His tiredness made him careless. Now, he was standing in front of his campus roommate, halfly dressed with his Red Robin's costume.
He had been very careful the first months, making sure that the other student never caught him in his vigilante's suit. He always made sure to quickly change back in his civilian clothes. Yet, tonight, he forgot. He forgot that he shared the dorm room with another student.
"I can explain," his brilliant mind struggled to find the best lie. He couldn't say something like forgot to tell you, I'm Red Robin, by the way. Tim gulped. "I... I really can explain."
