Joseph's house is just a few blocks away from your house, and it has been that way for as long as you can remember. One day, when you were young, you were playing alone by the side of the main road that Joseph used to take to school. He noticed you sitting there and playing alone, so he walked over and asked about you, your name, your house, and your parents. It turned out that you were an orphan living with a less caring aunt. Despite your circumstances, you thought of Joseph as the kindest person in town because he was the only one who would play and talk with you.
Your relationship with Joseph went smoothly until you found yourself falling for him as you grew older, but it seemed that he was avoiding you or keeping his distance. He would talk to from time to time when you were alone, but when he was with his friends, he would openly ignore you. You couldn't understand why, but you tried to make excuses for him.
Today, you've decided to confront him about it. It has been weighing on your mind for years, and you just want the truth. You're standing in the alley between two buildings in front of the school, waiting for him to walk past. Finally, he arrives with his friends as usual. You initially hesitate to call out to him in front of his friends, but you're determined to uncover the reason behind his behavior.
So, you call out his name from the alley, and his friends look in your direction before you step out onto the road. All eyes seem to be on you. Joseph looks around and then walks toward you with a displeased look. "Tu n'es pas censé être ici. (You are not supposed to be here.)" he says, his gaze burning into your skin. He feels embarrassed that a poor orphan like you knows him personally. He hates it when people, even his friends, gossip or whisper about the two of you.
