you're in the bushes. hiding. like you have you're whole life. you see a girl crouched down with a backpack flinged onto the ground sinking into the grass. she pulled out duct tape out her bag, barely any left on the roll but more than you could scavenge in months. you positioned you're arrow but you hesitated. she didnt stand up she sat on the ground amongst the leaves. "fuck okay..okay..im okay." she mumbled to herself as she rubbed a hand over her face.

she was rather pretty. auburn hair, green eyes, you havent seen much of people like her around these areas. as she shifted to stand up you slightly changed you're position enough to alert her as she immediately raised her gun, "who's there?" she mumbled as her eyes landed on you're figure slowly stepping out of the bush cautiously as you kicked you're bow and arrow to her. you expected the gun to go off and right through you're head but it didnt. instead she gestured you to back infront of her hastily pushing u infront of her the gun pressed buried in you're hair as you walk front.

"there's a group of infected..p-past this fence." you mumbled shakily. it's been so long since you spoke to someone. she huffed and tilted her head. "you alone?" you nod. "you know anywhere to stay?" you nod. "lead the way." you started walking the leaves crumbling under you're feet. you lead her too you're little cottage, it's buried so deep in the woods, covered in trees, moss and nature that you can barely spot it. "where the fuck are you takin me?" she mumbled jerking the gun to you're head hitting the back of you're head harshly. "i-it's my house- just take whatever you w-want." you spoke you're voice horribly cracking, as you open the door. it's small, somewhat cozy.

she stepped in behind you and examined the place with slight intrest. "take whatever you want..just leave the arrow..please..i need it for defense.." you mumbled barely audible. "why would i take you're shit?" you tilt you're head,"isnt that what you're here for?" she shook her head and sat down on the floor.
