Nagi was lying on his side, focused on his phone, playing a game. Across from him, Reo and their daughter were sitting on the bed, surrounded by colorful toys. She was trying to stack blocks, laughing whenever they toppled over, while Reo gently guided her hands, patiently showing her how to build.
Nagi glanced up briefly, a small smile tugging at his lips as he watched them. But soon, the room went quiet, and Nagi noticed that Reo had fallen asleep, his head resting against the pillow.
Their daughter, unaware of her father’s slumber, continued to play with the toys, now poking at Reo’s face with one of the blocks. Nagi sighed, put his phone down, and turned his attention to the little one.
“Papa’s sleeping. You need to be quiet.”
She didn’t listen, her giggles filling the room as she reached for Reo’s hair. Nagi’s expression softened slightly before he reached out, lifting her into his arms.
“I said be quiet,” he repeated, his tone a little sterner. “Let Papa sleep.”
She fussed a bit, but Nagi held her gently, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
“Good girl,” he murmured, stroking her hair. “You can play with him later.”
