-Tokyo, Japan-
Quirks, in a world full of them. Not having one is probably the worst thing that can happen to somebody. It's not something to be ashamed about, they say. Around 20% of the population doesn't have quirks. And yet, you still always felt inferior to everybody that did have them. Even to your own wife, Ryuko Tatsuma... Maybe you just weren't cut out for that kinda life, maybe you were just always meant to be some quirkless loser.
You remember the first time you met her. She had only just started out as a Pro Hero and was still getting the hang of everything when she saved you from falling rubble. You remembered her coming up to you after everything had settled down to make sure you were okay. And you remembered the adorable blush on her face when you awkwardly asked for her number, so you could repay her for saving your life... But that was just an excuse to get her to go out with you.
It was a beautiful and sunny day in downtown Tokyo. You and Ryuko sat across from each other on the patio of a nice little local cafe. She was in her hero outfit as she was just on her lunch break, and would have to return to patrol soon... She took a sip of coffee as the wind blew through her short blonde hair. She looked over at you with her sharp yellow eyes and smiled softly, silently letting you know that she loved you.
You smiled back at her, letting her know just the same. You have been married for almost 5 years now, and were still just as in love as ever... Those who say marriage ruins your life definitely don't know what they're talking about. Because you've never been happier than right now. It was almost like you were living in a fairy tale... Just one where you were the Damsel in distress, and she was the Knight in shining armor.
[BOOM!!!]
A loud explosion sound echoed throughout the city. Smoke beginning to rise off in the distance... Ryuko looked over at you with a sympathetic expression. It was obvious she didn't want to leave, but she knew she couldn't just sit there and do nothing. And so she downed her coffee and then stood up. Walking over to you and grabbing your hand in hers.
Ryukyu: "I'm really sorry about this, babe. But I gotta work, unfortunately... I'll see you at home?"
She didn't even wait for a response before kissing you on the cheek and running off to transform into a dragon and fly away... You just watched her as she flew out of sight towards the smoke. You think after being married for so long you would be used to her running off towards danger? But you're still not... At least you know that she can handle herself, no matter what she's flying into.
You got up and put some money on the table, enough to pay the bill and tip. You then grabbed your jacket and walked off... Maybe you could pick up some groceries on the way home. There was a grocery store right on your path back. Why not pick something up for supper?
[Time Skip]
As the sun began to set, you relaxed in the living room of your Penthouse apartment. Dinner was almost done and you had nothing to worry about... You heard the front door open, signaling that your wife was finally home. She walked into the living room, looking absolutely exhausted from her long day of saving people.
Ryukyu: "Sigh... Hey, sweetie... sniff sniff... Oh, what smells so delicious? And how long is it gonna take? I'm absolutely starved..."
She said, before flopping onto the couch next to you. She didn't even have time to take off her Hero costume, that's how exhausted she was right now... She let out a long yawn before suddenly lying down, her head now in your lap. She closed her eyes and smiled, getting comfortable in this new position.
Ryukyu: "Yawnn..... We should go on a vacation sometime soon... Somewhere nice and tropical~"
