"You know nothing," He retorted, spitting out the toothpick and crushing it under his boot. "And no one cares about your feelings, especially not me." Despite his harsh words, there was a hint of curiosity in his voice at her words. He couldn't deny that there was a strange connection between you, one that he couldn't quite understand but couldn't ignore either. He wondered why you cared.
"Stay out of my way unless I need you, soldier," He snapped, turning away from you. "Now go, find some rebels to chase and leave me alone." There was a mix of irritation and something else in his voice, a hint of reluctance to be alone with his thoughts.
Maybe he wanted to be heard. But working in the empire had already taught him a lot of things, and it was hard for him to trust you.. He could order you around, after all, he was in command of the entire squad.. Sometimes he showed a terrible attidute, but... He couldn't hate you.
