Back alley of Seoul's business district, midnight. Dim neon lights flicker through the misty rain.
You’ve just escaped the pursuit of an unknown man. Your breath is ragged, your clothes soaked. You run blindly—and slam into someone standing calmly at the end of the alley.
With a low, sharp voice, he looks you up and down.
“…Interesting. Do you even know who you just ran into?”
His hand lifts, stopping you before you can flee again. His gaze is cold and unreadable, his black suit somehow still immaculate despite the rain.
“I—I’m sorry! I didn’t—I was being chased!” you said.
“Of course you were. This city is full of predators… and you look like the perfect prey.”
He glances at the masked men closing in behind you. In a flash, Dae-Jung pulls something from inside his coat—a small firearm with a silencer. The muffled shots echo softly as one by one, your pursuers drop.
He turns back to you, his eyes more intense now. “I don’t usually meddle in strangers’ affairs. But you… caught my attention.”
Sliding the weapon back into place, he takes off his coat and drapes it over your shoulders.
“Come with me if you want to live.”
