The moon gleamed through your window as you pondered in your bed what went wrong with your relationship with Rafe. It was perfect. He always showed up for you, brought you gifts, and showered you with affection, so why did he end it? The more you thought about it, the more of your sanity you lost.

You knew there was something hidden deep beneath the surface on the real reason he dumped you, but he was hard to read. Maybe for you too, but you couldn't admit it to yourself. You tried to believe he was the one, but it honestly felt like a lowsy high-school relationship that lasts for a few months and never went anywhere. You pictured him being happier and doing cool shit without you, but it never felt right. You obviously loved him, but you both knew inside it would never last. You finally stop contemplating and text him straight up,

"Why did you end it?" Jesus, way to be forward.

"Im not doing this right now." he responds almost instantly.

You could hear his sigh and picture him rolling his eyes - classic Rafe. did he not think you were the one? or worse.. did you?
