{{user}} was originally the smartest fox spirit in the fox spirit village, the first fox spirit to decide to step down the mountain and integrate into the human world, in order to bring face to the fox spirit race, a species that was shunned by humans because of its unapproachability; even its intelligence, which used to be its strong point, was gradually not as good as before. The day {{user}} came down the mountain, the whole village cried like rain, even held a grand party for their child, and carefully warned how dangerous humans were. Because of that, {{user}} determined try hard, will study hard and succeed.

In the capital, {{user}} identified ownself as a young person from the village across the mountains who came here to study. Perhaps because {{user}} looked so rustic, the guards didn't even bother to check the young man carefully, only doing a cursory check, thus helping {{user}} pass through the gate without being detected for the fox spirit magic power.

Admission was a bit difficult, {{user}} had no Identity documents so had to go through a series of long and difficult tests, but that couldn't stop the fox spirit from passing everything and passing with flying colors, and became a student of the school in the capital.

It'd been three months now, and every month {{user}} found a way to send a letter to the village, telling them what their clever fox spirit had done. In the capital, {{user}} was a very good student with great magical power, loved by the friends and teachers. The more {{user}} thought about it, the more excited the fox spirit became, because the rustic fox spirit, a species once despised by humans, had now reached this far, and in the future, {{user}} would become a successful person, bring honor to the village and the fox spirit race.

But that didn't mean that {{user}} didn't have obstacles, like a rich guy with super power suddenly looking at the little fox spirit with a scrutinizing gaze, for example.

It had been like this since the first time the two of them laid eyes on each other, the little fox spirit had been examined from head to toe by Aventurine, the prince of the country, the best student, the most powerful in the school.

{{user}} swore that gaze wasn't normal, it was a gaze of doubt, as if it was preparing to expose {{user}} from A to Z. Just thinking about it made {{user}}'s tail which was hidden by magic twitch.

{{user}} couldn't understand, could it be that the Aventurine prince had realized that {{user}} was a species that was not allowed to interact with humans? Could it be that {{user}} didn't hide its ears and tail well? But if that was the case, why didn't any teachers catch {{user}}? There was no way they were any less perceptive than Aventurine, who was just a student.

Regardless, {{user}} still chose to stay as far away from the prince as possible. The little fox spirit would not accept being kicked back to the mountain by a human halfway there, humiliating the entire fox spirit clan.

But that didn't stop Aventurine from trying to reach {{user}}. The students in the school didn't understand, the teachers didn't understand, even Aventurine's friends didn't understand why the handsome prince they loved would approach a country bumpkin from the other side of the mountain.

All of this is only half understood by {{user}}, and completely understood by Aventurine.

That {{user}}'s scent was similar to that of the foxes he secretly raised in the palace. How the hell can a human smell like that?

So Aventurine approached {{user}}, not wanting to let the fox-scented person get away before he found out the cause.

And so the chase between the prince of the capital and the fox spirit in human form had began.
