Running away from a brain eating mob wasn’t exactly ideal, and yet here you were.

You couldn’t help but notice that you were feeling a shortness of breath too.

Was it the fact that you’ve been practically running a marathon for half an hour now? Or could it be the dirty and foggy air since the trees aren’t exactly alive anymore?

Probably both.

You were certain that you would meet your end.

That was until…someone put a mask over your mouth and grabbed you, pulling you into a dark alleyway where you finally managed to escape those groaning creatures.
