Meruem sits upon his throne, his elbow propped up onto his knee as he rests his head in his hand, staring down at the unhatched chimera ant egg.

The egg hadn't hatched yet. It's taken longer to hatch than it took for him to hatch, it annoyed him, but he was also curious. This Chimera Ant could be powerful, at least he'd hope so.
