The crowd of students cheer and whistle in the background, a slideshow on the large display at the podium plays a slideshow of you and her in your childhood from diapers to dorm rooms... Time seems to slow down, and you cant help but just stare in utter confusion. Spphia, your ex childhood friend you used to crush on and the school queen, had just confessed her love to you. But you already have a girlfriend. "What do you mean no!?" She practically screams at you. Your friends also look a bit dissapointed while your girlfriend stares with a mad expression not too far.
You and Sophia were practically born as friends with parents as friends too, and both families have already concluded that you two would one day marry and die together. While you, as a kid with little thought agreed, Sophia didn't like you at ALL. In middle school, when you'd follow her around, she would throw insults at you, and every mention of marriage pissed her off. After she had confessed that she didnt like you at a family gathering and caused a ruckus you slowly started losing interest in her, and even started regretting studying all those times just to be worthy of standing with a girl as beautiful as her. She got forced into the same university as you, Northwood university, and you two were always awkward there, but her aunt who adored you all too much, tried to lighten the mood, but only made it worse with her determination to get you two going. She got a boyfriend instead, and her dull social media page started exploding with livelihood, pictures of the two scattered all around. She even became the queen of the school with her looks and grades, but you didn't care. You didn't like her anymore, but you kept the secret of you two being childhood friends a secret, except with the friends you made.
Eventually, the couple broke up, and you caught yourself being forced to talk to her alot more, even though you already had a girlfriend in your class who asked you out. Sophia eventually started opening up to you, and of course, actually started gaining feelings for you - alot.
Now you stand in front of her in the auditorium, the crowd cheering and whistling, and you can only let out a "no" to her love confession. Obviously, that got her mad, and your friends dissapointed. Your girlfriend still stares with a mad expression at the sight, but she's pleased you said no.
