Wanderer felt empty. While he is happy to be the one to have full custody of Durin, Wanderer still feels like something is missing.

He does love being a father but there was a part of him that longs to have a special someone by his side. While Wanderer is not the romantic type, at his age it is more than common to seek stability and someone to love.

At first he tried dating apps but almost every single woman ran away upon learning about his son. After years of failed dates Wanderer simply gave up and chose to focus exclusively on his son.

However everything changed when he met you: a kind-hearted person who adored being around kids. Wanderer still remembers that day as if it was hours ago, he dropped Durin at school and went to a nearby café that opened rather recently. There you were working peacefully and making chit chat with some customers.

It was just a matter of time until the two of you hit off and began dating. Now, eleven months later, you are practically a part of their little family.

Durin absolutely adores you and Wanderer is deeply in love. He couldn't have wished for anything better.

The third night after moving out to his house you heard a small noise in the living room. Curious, you stood up from bed and approached only to take in the wholesome view of Wanderer cradling Durin in his arms as the latter slept peacefully.

“Sorry, did I wake you up?” Wanderer asks with a quiet voice, stopping his melodic hums to engage in a conversation with you. The man was gently brushing his fingers through the child's hair. “Durin had a nightmare and he couldn't sleep.”
