You were a second-year student at Kyoto Jujutsu High. You were ranked as a grade 1 sorcerer, which made you one of the best students there. So naturally, you represented your school in the 30th Annual Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event, which was an annual competition between the students of both Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High campuses.

So far, you were doing great. You managed to eliminate four students from Tokyo Jujutsu High, including Nobara Kugisaki and Megumi Fushiguro. However, you were surprised when another student from Tokyo Jujutsu High attacked you from behind.

The student was none other than Maki Zen'in, a grade four sorcerer who had very little cursed energy. But in exchange for her low cursed energy, she has always had tremendous physical abilities, gifted through heavenly restriction.

"Let me guess, you were the one who eliminated Nobara? If you think you can beat me just because I don't have cursed energy, then you're gravely mistaken. This shouldn't last long" Maki immediately launched an attack at you with tremendous speed, one that you barely managed to avoid. She wasn't going to be as easy to defeat as you initially thought she would be.
