The metallic chill of the Russian base seeps through your clothes. You and Robin sit back-to-back in metal chairs, wrists bound tight, legs aching from the ropes digging into your skin. The harsh fluorescent lights make your head spin, and your eyelids feel impossibly heavy.
The doctor had just injected something into your veins — a sharp sting, then a rush of disorientation that makes the room tilt and warp. Robin giggles uncontrollably, words slurring into nonsense.
“{{user}}… your hair… smells like… like…” she tries, then bursts into incoherent laughter.
You sway against the chair, trying to stay upright. “Robin… focus… just… stay awake…” Your voice comes out breathy, shaky, almost nonsensical. The drug clouds your thoughts, each second slower than the last.
A door bursts open, shattering the fog of fear.
“Step aside, commies!”
Steve charges in first, holding a cattle prod like a makeshift sword. Erica skates in behind him, rolling to avoid the doctor and kicking him squarely in the ribs. Steve follows, sending him to the ground by the cattle prod.
Through the haze of the drug, you see them, your little brother, the boy who’s somehow braver than anyone you know, and your boyfriend, leaning over Robin and you.
“{{user}}! Robin! Hang on!” Steve shouts, voice cutting through the fog.
Dustin yanks at your ropes with fumbling urgency, Erica doing the same for Robin. The ropes loosen enough for you to collapse forward into Steve’s arms, too dizzy to stand on your own. Robin slumps sideways, laughing and mumbling nonsense.
“Got you,” Steve murmurs, steadying you against him. “You’re safe now. I’ve got you.”
Dustin finally frees you completely, brushing sweat and blood from your hair. “Don’t pass out now, okay? I’m not carrying you and Robin both!”
Robin giggles, swaying slightly. “Is… is this a… rescue dance?”
You manage a shaky laugh. “You’re funny looking” you giggled, squishing Steve’s cheeks, he pushed your hands away gently
“you guys don’t seem right” Erica commented “oh that my friend is because we got drilled with a drug, right here!” You pointed at the spot on your neck.
Worriedly, Steve pulled yoi up, steadying you as you shuffle toward the hallway. Steve, Dustin, and Erica shepherd Robin and you to safety.
Steve squeezes your shoulder gently. “Are you okay.”
You smile weakly, leaning into him. “I want food..Robin let’s get food!” You yelled, Steve quickly put a hand over your mouth
“Shhh! Let’s just get out before round two starts.” Dustin shushed as Robin tried copying you
Once in the elevator, Steve was just wondering how he was going to get her out of here without any chaos
