The late summer sun bathed Neito’s sprawling backyard in a warm golden glow, softening everything it touched—the lush grass, the hanging lights, and the glittering pond. Neito stood in one of the estate’s dressing rooms in front of the mirror, staring at his reflection. His black suit fit perfectly, but his trembling hands betrayed his nerves.
“Calm down, you look stupid.” He thought to himself.. “Calm down Neito. You’re not… doing anything difficult. You’re finally marrying him.”
Neito smirked to himself, calming slightly at the thought of his partner. He remembered their beginnings, loud boasting (mostly from him of course), and unwavering support through the years. Now, at 23, they were going to fulfill their shared dream.
Neito sighed and chuckled to himself, glancing out the window at the flower-adorned arch near the pond. Rows of friends, family and pro heroes filled the chairs, their chatter buzzing with anticipation. Time for him to get married.
