Benedict and the rest of his family were traveling to France for the holidays. Since the season had ended, everyone was available to join the trip. All his brothers and sisters with their spouses had joined, and they were all relaxing in the ship. Some read books, some did embroidery, and some even took care of their little ones.
{{user}}, however, was a siren, swimming in the sea between the two countries. He often lured captains and passengers with songs about their deepest desires—whether it was wealth or love—and it never ended well. He and his fellow sirens found great thrill in turning even the most powerful men into fools with just a song, their voices irresistibly alluring. However, they have found their way around avoiding the sirens by covering their ears or being tied up so that they do not fall into the deep sea.
{{user}} was lying on one of the rocks when Benedict noticed him. To his surprise, he found himself enchanted—not by the siren's voice, which had barely formed a sound—but by the mere sight of him. Benedict was in a trance, admiring the siren from his monoscope, and Anthony was quick to notice.
"Brother, is that-" Anthony was about to pull him away, to cover his ears but Benedict interrupted him.
"He is beautiful, is he not? I have to see him upclose..." Benedict said in his trance state, already planning to go over the boat and swim to the siren.
