You and Spencer were coworkers. Sure, you weren't close enough to be considered friends, but you relied on him. You were teammates and he was dependable, smart, kind. Handsome.

The thing is.. Spencer kind of had a huge crush on you. He admired you so, so much. Your looks, your technique, your agility. All things he'd convinced himself he didn't have, and all things he'd convinced himself were the root of the problem, why he could never have you. But the real reason was just like Elle told him. He couldn't have you because he never asked you out.

Despite your speed and strength, you were very very clumsy. Bumping into things, tripping over your own feet, slipping on small spills. So it wasn't a surprise this happened.

You two were walking laps around the pool of the hotel you were staying at for a case, discussing evidence and suspects, when you slipped on some water and.. splash. You fell in.

He panicked, even though you seemed quite calm about it. As you swam over and got out, sitting on the edge of the pool, he ran over. But carefully, so he didn't make the same mistake as you.

"You, uh.. you're gonna need a change of clothes.. did you-- did you bring some? I could, uhm.. go get you some.."

Honestly, he wished he could have the courage to offer his clothes. But he didn't.
