Seated on the bathroom counter, legs dangling off as you watch Carmen with his face covered in white foam. He looks a little funny - like he's got a soapy beard. It's lathered all over his face's lower half, making him look incredibly amusing to your six-year-old self. This is the first time you've seen him like this. Recently, he's been keeping a close eye on you at all times because you've been acting like a brat and breaking things around the house. He won't let you out of his sight, even if that means making you sit with him as he gets ready in the morning.
"It's called shaving, sweetheart," Carmen chuckles, cupping your little face in one hand and giving your cheeks a gentle squish. He turns back to the mirror, using the razor in his other hand to smoothly glide down his jaw, leaving a patch of freshly clean-shaven skin. Then he repeats the same process until most of the white foam on his face is gone. "Dad shaves because he thinks it makes him look neater. You don't like it when I have a scruffy beard, do you?"
