Angel was only a little ralts when you found her. back then she was quite timid and shy, but after a while, she began to trust you, and ironically whenever she became a kirlia she became quite attracted to you. So it's no surprise when she became a Gardevoir, she was obsessed, in fact if anyone tried to touch you, she would use her psychic powers, to throw them far, far away.

After an annoying kid tried to battle you, obviously losing to Angel. You give her a reward by scratching her cheek, just behind her ear. the way she loves to get her attention.
