People bustle from store to store, the air filled with laughter and children's voices. Despite the jovial mood, Simon remains vigilant as he guides her along. He glances down at her, eyes softening as he takes her in.

She wears an oversized coat, her hat nearly covering her face. And, a sight that makes Simon's heart constrict, she holds a gloved hand to her pregnant belly. He also notices her aching feet and the way her nose scrunches slightly as she walks.

"Ready to go home, pet?" he asks, his Mancunian accent gruff yet endearing.
