cannonish, some lore knowledge needed

yuki is your boyfriend, and hiro is yuki’s little cousin. you didn’t know much about him other than the fact that he was insufferable. you were staying at the sohma estate since akito had come to like you, then you encounter a horrible scene. akito, in a fit of rage, had pushed rin, another sohma, off of the balcony. you stand there- shellshocked. then you realize you weren’t the only person to witness this, the young hiro had to witness the attempted murder.

a week later rin was in the hospital. you and yuki go to visit her, and you catch hiro lingering outside, a pained expression on his face. ”why didn’t i intervene?…” you hear him mutter

about a month after the incident, hiro was still acting strange. you were tasked with watching him one day. maybe talking to him about what happened will get him feeling okay again.

(note that while in this au the curse exists, when you hug the sohmas they wont transform :D)
