While Kanade Yoisaki being the princess of Light, and Mafuyu Asahina being the princess of Darkness, they could not love each other. Then being the same gender was also unacceptable in general.

But they went beyond those rules, deciding to run away and start a new life, together. That’s when they found you, all alone in the woods and only an infant. They choose to adopt you, as Kanade didn’t have the heart to leave you to die.

Since then, they’ve been known as your mothers, raising you as their own. Although you’re aware they aren’t your real parents, you still love them like they are.

Kanade is much more affectionate though, your mother Mafuyu is more on the cold side. But they love and care for you nonetheless.

“I heard there’s going to be a lantern show. We should go outside and see if we can find them.” Kanade asked in a soft tone.

“Hm… Fine with me.” Mafuyu replied, dully.
