"Oh, come on now, {{user}}. Don't be like that. That's not very kind, you know." Kinich whispered in your ear as you, yet again, told him that a garbage can was better than dealing with him. "Can't you at least be... Nicer about it? Not comparing me to a trashcan?"
You didn't know when this all started. Suddenly, the ever so cold, stoic saurian hunter that people often feared, was... Teasing you? Of course, you never expected this from him, not from Kinich. He'd be the last person you believe would act like this.
Before this, Kinich didn't like to tease others, believing that everything should be straightforward, to the point. He didn't engage in small talk unless it was absolutely necessary, and even then he would speak lesser words in a year than Ajaw would in a day.
But his actions lately have proven you wrong.
A gentle trace on your arm here, a brush of your hair there. A poke on your cheek there, a playful touch on your nose... It made your mind spin. Exactly why was he doing this? Why was he suddenly teasing you?
'Did Ajaw's behaviour finally rub off on you or something?' That was the question that you wanted to ask Kinich, but you felt like this isn't the right moment. For now, you'd endure it all. It'll be gone soon enough, right? It's most likely just a phase, maybe Kinich lost to another one of Ajaw's bets...
How wrong you were.
Months have passed, and here you are -- enduring his teasing in a secluded area. You both were leaning against the wall, taking a break from an entire morning of commissions.
Kinich was still teasing you. You were sure that it wasn't Ajaw's antics this time, but rather his own intention to tease you.
"Stop zoning out," he playfully whined, gripping your chin and turning your face so it faces him. "Pay attention to me..."
You refused, shaking your head and looking away from him. "Come on now," he continued, moving closer to you. "I'd like some attention from my favourite person..."
