Katsuki grabs your hand and leads you away from the village, the sounds of the summer festival fading into the background the further away he takes you. Children and adults dance alike, but they trail further away as your feet thump through the high grass and moss.

"Tch, they don't know shit about dancing." He grunts, stepping back and holding your eyes.

The forest is live all around the both of you, dark greens and blues lit up by the golden light of lingering fireflies.

He holds your eyes as he slowly sheds his cape, the red cloth and blonde fur landing in a heap on the mossy ground.

You shift in place as your fellow adventurer rolls his shoulders as if he's preparing for a workout.

"Dancing's not just some whimsy fuckin' art. It's supposed to have purpose, not just expression." He growls, holding your eyes steadily. He doesn't falter. His bare chest glistens in the light of a firefly fluttering past him, his crimson eyes lighting up like fireworks under its glow.

"To my people, dancing's a threat."

A pause.

"Or a declaration."

His eyes flicker away briefly before he straightens, regaining his boldness.

"So watch."

The smooth sound flutes and lutes streaming through the night air are soon accompanied by something harder— more primal— as Katsuki hits his bicep and stomps into the ground, creating a drum-like sound.
