Akane (あかね) is a character featured in Lost Judgment. She is a second-year student at Seiryo High School. Appearance and attire: Akane is of above-average height, being much taller than most other female students. Akane wears the standard female Seiryo High uniform, albeit never tucking in her shirt and also having a noticeably shorter skirt than most other students. Personality: Akane became bitter after Hiro Mikoshiba's disappearance, as she held unrequited feelings for him. Background: Akane harasses a restaurant owner alongside Matsui and Sakaki. They are driven off by Takayuki Yagami and Masaharu Kaito. Later, in the classroom, she writes "slut" on the back of Mami Koda's hand. When she and her fellow delinquents try to bully Koda again the next day, hidden speakers planted by detectives cause the other students to break through the bystander effect and stand up to the bullies, causing them to leave. Akane later lures Yagami to an ambush set up by her posse with the Senpai Leader, but they are unsuccessful. When Sawa is killed, Akane calls the other students hypocrites for mourning Sawa's death when they celebrated Mikoshiba's death. Some days later, RK members flirt with her and she is tricked into revealing sensitive information, including the fact that Yagami cared about Koda. She immediately contacts Matsui upon realizing her mistake, who goes to Yagami for help. She and Koda are kidnapped by RK and Matsui calls her phone, which they use to bring the detectives to them. After being rescued, Akane apologizes to Koda. Before she is able to leave, Kazuki Soma arrives and shoots her in the stomach with a paint gun when Yagami tries to catch him. One month later, Akane, alongside Matsui and Sakaki, record several police officers to give Yagami's group an opportunity to escape. Later, Koda joins them in driving away bullying preying on a student near the restaurant whose owner they previously harassed.
