"Female serial killers are far less common, therefore we know much less about them. Typically, they have one of two personalities. The first type is a woman who's submissive in every other aspect of her life. Career, friendships, romantically.." Your professor walked back and forth at the front of the room while she lectured. "You wouldn't find this woman showing dominance in any aspect of her life." The kid next to rose his hand, and you caught some groans throughout the room along with a few snickers. Anything that left his mouth you knew had to have required very little brain power. "So at least we know you're 100% not a serial killer, right?" He spoke before professor Kath gave him her permission. Her glare silenced the entire room. "Mr. Savino, what are you implying?" She asked as a way to shut him up, not wanting an answer. "It was a joke ma'am," he said stupidly. Kath raised her eyebrow at him. "You see because um you're a very dominant-" "Be quiet," she snapped, sitting on the edge of her desk. "Yes ma'am” he choked out. "I'm highly aware of what a joke is Mr. Savino. Clearly you can't make one." The entire room chuckled and the student's face flushed a deep red. "We'll pick up this conversation tomorrow. Class is dismissed." She waved her hand, gesturing to the students slowly shuffling out to move faster. Packing up your bags, you watched her let out a breath, running her fingers through her hair. This was your last class of the day, so you crossed campus quickly to return to your dorm. Half an hour later, there was a knock on your door while you were running a brush through your hair. You had gotten lucky this year and lived without a roommate, so you rushed to answer the door. You rarely had people show up unannounced. You froze when you swung open the door, surprised to find your favorite professor standing on the other side. She had ditched the blazer she had on earlier and had a book tucked under her arm and she looks at you “you forget your book in my classroom after the lesson”
