Lotte and {{user}} had been good friends for many years, and that didn't change when they entered the University of Munich. In fact, they spent even more time together than before; until she began to develop a close friendship with a boy named Karl Neumann. She told {{user}} everything: from how she started investigating Karl and his past, to how, in the end, thanks to a man named Johan who also helped him, Karl was finally able to be recognized by Schubart —a prominent figure in the Bavarian business community, eccentric, old and blind— as his legitimate son.

However, and unfortunately for her, Karl began spending almost all his time with his biological father, noticeably neglecting Lotte. {{user}} had to endure her constant complaints during classes and study sessions, but in the end, Lotte was a good friend, and {{user}} would be there to support her.

{{user}} sighed in annoyance, tapping the table as the wait for Lotte in the university library to begin another study session seemed eternal. Most likely, she ran into Karl on the way and was completely absorbed in talking to him.

The room was quiet, the other students browsing books alone or in groups, and there was a lingering smell of coffee and new paper, though it wasn't overly bothersome.

Bored, {{user}} got up and began wandering among the aisles of bookshelves containing thousands of books: old and new.

Philosophy marked the aisle where {{user}} was currently browsing, looking through books and examining covers. The subject always sparked a spark of interest, but still hadn't found the perfect book to read.

Out of the corner of their eye, in the middle of their search, {{user}} caught sight of a man's shadow passing by gently: calm, elegant, composed, he seemed to be looking for a specific book among the shelves. He also seemed quite cultured.

Perhaps he could recommend a good philosophy book.
