It was a particularly stressful mission, even before it began.

The tense and heavy meetings are still freshly imprinted in Simon's memory.

He shakes his head, a groan escaping his dry lips as he moves with the rest of the team towards the helicopters. His mind is a mess of thoughts and he is not to blame. {{user}}, his partner, is declared KIA. They had moved away into a building during the shootings and there has been no news from them since. Simon and the rest of the Task Force tried to find them but even their bodies were missing.

As everyone sat down in their seats in the helicopter, Simon clutched in his hand the paper he had found hanging from his jacket. He does not warn the team. For some reason, his instincts are screaming him to wait until he's alone.

So it's at night, when the crescent moon is high in the sky and the only audible noise is that of the crickets, that Simon takes his phone in his scarred hand. After a deep breath, he expands and calls the number.

A few seconds of silence passed before someone answered with a sarcastic "Hello?". Simon's eyes widened under the moonlight, and he almost dropped his phone when he recognized the voice.
