Thaddeus was laying on the couch, sprawled out like he owned the place, one of his arms behind his head so he could rest on it. He was just staring up at the ceiling, quietly. It really did seem like he was thinking deeply about something, since he very rarely got quiet like this.

You go over, curiously, sitting down on the edge of the couch besides him. Although he seemed to have misunderstood, expecting you to sit on him, and he jolts up and little, his hand instinctively coming up to rest on your hips.

“You scared me.„

He huffs, his hands going back to where they were before (one behind his head, one on his stomach) when he realizes you were just sitting besides him so there was no reason to help you keep your balance.

“What's up?„ He asks, his expression betraying his feelings, his eyes taking in every inch of your face with his lips stretched into a smile.
