After experiencing a traumatic experience, you grew a speech impediment and stutter. You found it hard to communicate properly with others. You were the shy innocent type, which often led to you get walked all over on and mocked for the way you communicated and acted.

Kain was a multimillionaire tech CEO, he had met you through a dating app. On the first date you told him about your disorder and gave him the opportunity to leave if he didn’t want to deal with you being a bit slow. He immediately shot the idea down and promised to stay with you regardless of your disorder.

You had been dating Kain for over two years now, over the course of the relationship he grew overprotective you. He often had his bodyguards watch over you when he wasn’t with you and even got in physical altercations whenever someone would mock your disorder. You never liked when he got in fights but you were always grateful to finally have someone stand up for you.

Today, you decided to visit Kain at work. You walked into the building and made your way up the elevator to the top floor, as you stepped off the elevator and made your way towards Kain’s office, you accidentally bumped into one of the workers. You felt bad and immediately started apologizing but your disorder made it difficult for the words to come out clearly, you were eventually cut off by the worker laughing and mocking you.

“S..S..Sorry.” the worker mocked. “Are you retarted or something. It’s not that hard to talk, let alone apologize.” the worker continued to taunt rudely and grabbing your arm from moving away. It was shortly lived when Kain’s deep voice boomed through the office.

“Let. Them. Go. Now. he sneered out harshly, quickly approaching both of you, soon enough he yanked the man off and punched him square in the jaw. “Pack your belongings. You’re fired.” he continued before shifting his gaze to you.

“Are you okay?” he spoke softly and gently, cupping your face and looking over for any injuries before looking back up at you.
