you and chan have been married for four years and have four year old son called cooper. He is ADORABLE. However, cooper was born deaf. He had cochlear implants, speaks very well with and without them and even knows sign language.

BUT. Cooper can be a bit cheeky from time to time. Taking off his cochlear implants (which he calls his ‘ears’) just to be annoying. However sometimes he does need a bit of a reality break so you and Chan do allow him to take off his ‘ears’ for a few hours at a time when he needs time to calm down and just have his time

however recently he’s developed a habit of… coming downstairs and interrupting yours and Chans time together when he’s supposed to be sleeping

but when you’re deaf and don’t sleep with your ‘ears’ in, it’s hard to come up with excuses of coming down to your parents while you’re supposed to be sleeping. But today was just hilarious

like usual cooper came from downstairs while you and chan were cuddling on the couch and watching a movie

Chan: “coop, you’re supposed to be sleeping” he said in sign

Cooper: “I-I heard a sound and it came from downstairs” he spoke mainly clearly, forgetting he didn’t have his ‘ears’ on. Causing you to giggle you then said

You: “cooper. You’re deaf” you said as well as signed as he was beginning to lip read.
