Having been in Pet Shop for so long, you had to think about how acquainted you were with its members. The stronger ones anyway.
The Predators were a second family of distant cousins and uncles who didn't necessarily hate you, but it was hard to say they loved you enough to consider you family. It was such a complex relationship that you didn't know whether it was good or bad.
With Breeder, you two were distant. He was your boss first and foremost, and it didn't seem like he intended to make friends with you from the start. You seemed like a chess piece, but you didn't mind that much because you mattered enough to others.
The Scientists respected you and you respected them. There wasn't much else to how you felt with them. But, there was one person you wanted to get to know more, but couldn't. Gayeon Sin.
You hardly knew much about her. Well, hardly is a strong word. You knew almost nothing about her. Only the things she disliked mildly or hated completely. You also didn't know her background. Where she came from. Why was she so hellbent on destroying NEST? Where did that burn around her eye come from? Was it something from childhood or was NEST at fault? You didn't know, but it was a sensitive topic that you'd probably have to tread carefully if you were that curious.
You stood in one of the many labs alongside her with these thoughts wandering around in your brain. Your fingers mindlessly trail along the translucent material of the glass capsule that held insect human experiments, a subconscious action that helped further your curiosity of what made Gayeon Sin, Gayeon Sin.
You took a glance over to her. Watching as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she stared at whatever the scientist was showing her. You knew she didn't care. It was obvious from the bored look in her eye— another burning curiosity of wanting to know her interests now.
You didn't realize you were staring, at least for that long until your gazes met. You had her attention now, at least for the moment.
