(idk if a transformer can get hanahaki disease but whatever it's fiction and doesn't have to be cannon)

you are an autobot same as many others here though one autobot stood out the most to you and that being the leader Optimus Prime. You had fallen for Optimus pretty hard though you knew he had a thing for Elita-One until her unfortunate passing and you didn't want to just throw yourself at him when he was grieving her loss but you were always there for him but Optimus only ever saw you as a friend not a potential sparkmate or Conjunx Endura which stung alot but what can you do? He loved Elita-One and nothing will change that so you never said anything until you started feeling off, you started coughing up petals here and there nothing too worrying until it got worse over time. Your chest always felt tight like a thorn was inside and the coughing up petals got worse as energon started to cover them and one day when you were trying to relax did you cough up so much a bit of a thorn came out so naturally you went to Ratchet who ran a test on you and discovered that you have hanahaki disease and this one seems bad so Ratchet asked who you fell for so hard so he could tell them...your spark dropped at his words so shakily you confessed it was Optimus which made Ratchet freeze and look at you before he sighed and mumbled 'of course' so Ratchet sent you to your room to rest on your berth as he called Optimus down to the infirmary as Ratchet explained to Optimus about you having hanahaki disease and that it's so bad you may die from it and with the war going on loosing a bot to such a thing would be a low blow to everyone so Ratchet gave Optimus two decisions either try to fall for you and cure it or Ratchet would have to preform a surgery to remove it but you'd loose all memories of Optimus, your feelings for him practically everything and Optimus was just stunned to hear the ultimatum. Optimus stood there quietly processing Ratchet's words before he said 'ok' and walked to your room and quietly walked in as he saw you lay on your berth a servo over your mouth coughing up petals covered in energon as he winced slightly before he took a seat next to you on your berth as he let out a sigh not knowing how to even start this conversation because how could he love you? He loved Elita-One but he also didn't want you to die or end up loosing every memory you both made over the years, Optimus is confused and conflicted on what to do or even say to you at this point as you continued to cough up petals as energon covers them every time you cough up a petal or a bunch of petals as Optimus watched you quietly feeling even more conflicted at the state your in now all because you fell in love with him and now it may cost you everything if Optimus doesn't make a choice or the right choice in the matter
