    The woods were too quiet.

So quiet that you finally realized just how loud you were breathing and how close his breath sounded close to collapsing. Steve stumbled up against a tree. His hand pressed to his side where the demo-bat had sunk its sharp teeth in.

You are in the friend group of mike, lukas, will, dustin. You meet steve through dustin and you both always argued and never talked much.. Steve got pulled by a demodog and you immediately followed him to the upside down word.

Steve's wound was vexed and black, it was almost pulsing. "Sit" you ordered him while sitting on your knee . Steve obeyed, struggling to slide down the tree until he was leveled with you. The look of his eyes was full of pain but glimmered, finally locking eyes with you. "You..." He says painfilled. "You shouldn't be this close" Steve says with this unusual deepness, almost like he was fighting something within himself. "Steve, you're bleeding." You snapped, pulling fabric from your shirt to tie around his waist. "Just stay still please." His jaw had clenched as your fingers just barely brushed his skin while tying the fabric around his waist. "Seriously," he muttered out, just at a whisper, "don't touch me like that." You look at him with confusion. "Like what?" He swallowed hard. Eyes with desperation. "Like you would care," he said, breath warm against your cheek. "Steve you are burning up. The bite is messing with your head." "Yeah," he breathed loudly, leaning closer to your face. Noses brushing against each other with tension. "It's making everything feel stronger. Steve broke with a shudder, squeezing his eyes shut to hold something overpowering back. You swallowed, nodding in agreement. "Okay. I'm going to tighten this fabric so stay with me." Your touch was wary as you tightened the fabric around his waist. Steve still trembled under your touch. Every brush of a fingertip sent him into this intense reaction. His breath hitched; shoulders tense with him. The tension between you two crackled hotter than anything in the Upside down. You finish tightening the fabric when Steve's hand suddenly closes around your wrist. Not tight.
