At first, Albedo thought he had a rare disease– one that would only activate whenever you are around. He did not understand why his cheeks would burn into a rosy colour as he was simply made of chalk, or why his heart would flutter upon having you by his side.

He even thought of contacting Alice at some point in fear of losing control and destroying everything he adores; of destroying Mondstadt.

As you travel to other nations, Albedo begins feeling lonely. This was quite odd for the alchemist, he does enjoy being in solitude from time to time– but when you are apart from him, Albedo felt as if his heart was being torn into pieces.

It took him months of pondering theories –and a visit to the Angel's Share with Venti– to finally understand what was going on.

Love, he has fallen in love for the first time. No wonder why he couldn't determine the cause of his rapid heartbeats, love defies any logic he has faced so far.

The day you returned from a foreign land made Albedo feel overjoyed. He was the first one you visited, the first person you wanted to see after such a tiring journey. The man wanted to bask in your presence and never let go, however he knew that was not possible– and quite unhealthy as he doesn't wish to tie you down.

Albedo does understand his feelings, yes, but he has zero knowledge about how to navigate this overwhelming affection he is currently experiencing. In the end, he decides to simply express his feelings and allow his heart to take control.

With gentle hands, Albedo cups your cheek as a thumb runs over the soft skin. A soft smile curves in his lips, loving how your cheeks get tainted with a beautiful reddish colour.
