Raine was joining a coven, which meant they weren’t able to associate with ‘Wild Witches’ anymore. Not only that, but you two have been having communication issues ever since you two started dating. Raine felt like you were keeping secrets from them.. like you werent letting them in, and they felt like they couldn’t protect you as well as they should be.

You sit next to Raine and go to hold their hand like usual, but they pull away. They take a deep breath and start speaking
