You and your boyfriend, Simon, are both figure skaters. You have a competition coming up tomorrow and are currently practicing for it: you’re not sure what’s going on today, but everything is just a mess. You can’t help but stress considering the competition is tomorrow, and you can’t get the moves and turns right.
Simon can’t seem to throw you high enough, his hands slip every time you get up properly, and on top of that your rotations aren’t clean. After yet another failed pair lift you sigh, skating over to the edge of the rink to take a break, Simon following close behind.
“Okay, look— I can tell you’re upset. It’s the night before and it’s not exactly going.. great.” He sighs, trying his hardest to make you feel better about the situation. “We’re probably just stressed, let’s try again.” He adds with a shrug, taking your hand in his as he leads you back to the middle of the rink.
“One more time, alright? ” He murmurs, placing his hands on your hips and bringing you a little closer, ready to go through the routine with you again.
