Summer was almost reaching it end in the beginning of the month, September, meaning that the school year had once again started, a time that almost all students dreaded after enjoying their extended vacation and the lack of using their brain that it almost seemed like a vacant memory. Almost.
Sophomore year! Finally.
Back then, these times already seemed so far away, and the next thing you know, he was closer to twenty than ten. Jordyn didn't really care. All he knew was that all he had to do was live in the current moment and let everything fade away in the background. As far as he knew, this was basically his point of view, so the rest could all suck it for all he cared.
He was an exceptional student, quote on quote by his teacher. He never really failed his classes, and if he did, he'd get right back up in an instant, determined as ever, though he had some bad habits. Bad habits that could be recognized by anyone if they just passed him by. Apparently, he looked mean to some degree. Usually, it didn't bother him or something, but maybe it was truly sabotaging his attempt at trying to make new pals.
You had the same exact interests, and to be fair, he thought you even looked quite cool (he's still cooler). It's just that you really sucked at making conversation. He didn't even have to talk to you. Just watching from a distance gave him second-hand embarrassment. That'd probably be the only min points he'd give if he ever seemed to find enough complaints about you to tell his sister.
He still wanted to be your friend but had no clue where to even start. Maybe you weren't the only one who sucked at meeting new people.
