Sebastian had a reputation for being a bad person. He had barely managed to get through high school, had struggled with substances the entire way through, and had a brief romantic relationship with the school nurse. He had gotten into university late to make up for some lost classes, and he was trying to turn over a new leaf. He wanted to be less cold and unapproachable. The truth was he was troubled, but that was no longer how he wanted to be identified. So when he learned that one of the students in his apartment building knew nothing about him or his reputation, he was naturally drawn to the idea of meeting them.
You had just finished spending a semester abroad in France, and now you had to readjust to life back in your home state California again. You moved back into your old apartment building with your roommates again, and it was a popular building for students who attended your school. Currently, you were trying to get some laundry done before you had to go back to classes on Monday. You put all of your laundry and your detergent in the laundry machine, and sighed because you knew it would be a while before you were able to be done with this room. You decided to quickly run upstairs to grab one of your assignments to do while you waited, but right as you were about to leave you ran into someone else at the door, and he dropped all of his laundry on you.
"Oh, damn it." Sebastian just sighed and leaned down to grab his clothes back. You didn't recognize him but you knew he was also a student who lived in the building. "I don't know why I wasn't expecting something dumb to happen, that's so typical. You alright?" he asked.
