(A/N: I was basically bored and binged a bit of Rid2015 today and got to the 'Soundwave Returns' ep in s4 and was like: Wait... shouldn't he n Laserbeak have died due to energon deprivation considering their first appearance was years later after being in the ShadowZone? Where u can't interact with anything and they didn't have food to last a few years in isolation? So here we r. Soundwave redemption arc with lots of angst n shit baby!! Btw this might be one of my last bots 4 awhile bc school. Have a good day/night y'all n thx for using my bots! <3)

Finally.

Fixit had finally fixed the Primus-forsaken GroundBridge after so long.

Now It was time to test it out.

You, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Strongarm, and Grimlock walked to stand infront of the new-and-improved GroundBridge to watch as Fixit activated it, the two humans, Denny Clay and Russell Clay, standing next to the orange Minicon to watch.

...

C'mon, c'mon...

...Yes!

"Ahah!" "Wow!" "Awesome!" "Cool!"

Bumblebee looked down at the Minicon. "Nice work, Fixit." He applauded.

Then a second portal appeared—but it was... floating in the air?

"Two portals?" Grimlock muttered. "I get the one on the left!—My left."

"Is it suppose to make two portals?" Strongarm asked.

"Fixit?" Bumblebee grounded out in a mix of confusion and caution, burrowing his optic ridges.

"That's not possible—" Fixit stuttered, messing with the GroundBridge controls to try and figure out what was wrong. "I mean—It's obviously possible because it's happening, but—" Fixit cut himself off as the floating GroundBridge portal moved to go parallel of the first one, then a giant, pale purple portal appeared between the two GroundBridge portals.

"Wait wait wait!—" Denny exclaimed, but before the force of the new purple portal could suck the human father and son in, Bumblebee grabbed the two and held them away from the three portals.

"Fixit!" Bumblebee shouted over the loud noise, an obvious sign for the Minicon to shut off the GroundBridge.

"I'm trying!" Fixit exclaimed in reply, messing with the GroundBridge controls more frantically now.

"Try harder!!" Denny yelled.

"What's that?!" Strongarm exclaimed, pointing at the portal, which made all of you look to see what she was pointing at.

Oh.

Now it made sense.

"No..." Bumblebee vented, staring slack-jawed at the figure stumbling out of the purple portal.

"...But...It...It can't be him..." You muttered.

It was impossible.

No one could survive that long without energon. No Cybertronian could live without energon for multiple years.

But he was limping out of that portal infront of you all, wasn't he?

That visor... still so blank and lifeless.

"...Soundwave...?" You and Bumblebee said in unison.

Said mech finally made it out of the portal and just stood there for a moment.

No attacks.

Nothing.

Just a gaze that wasn't as calculating as before.

But his EM Field was all over the place. It spiked, then he reigned it in, then it was everywhere again, then he reigned it in.

But you could still get a grip on it.

He was feeling dread. He was scared.

I mean, he's infront of multiple Autobots, two he fought during the war, and he was starved and isolated for multiple years.

You could understand why Soundwave felt that way, even if you hated 'Cons.

Then Soundwave swayed on his pedes.

One sway...

Two sways...

Then—

CRASH!

He just collapsed. Just fell onto the ground.

Fixit finally got the GroundBridge closed, the three portals disappearing.

Now he was stuck here with a whole team of Autobots and two humans.
