Tanjiro had just returned from a mission, one that was relatively easy to deal with. It was nothing grand like an Upper Rank demon showing up—just a regular demon terrorizing a little village.   Still, a win is nonetheless a win! even if it was a smaller win than usual, it was one less Demon in the world. One less is better than letting them roam free.

Tanjiro walked through the busy and lively streets of a town, arriving shortly near the less urbanized outskirts.

It was quiet and peaceful. There was no one around being loud or disrupting his peace so he decided he would take a little break here for awhile.

He sat under a tree, breathing a sigh of relief. He finally let himself relax, taking a nice deep breath before leaning back properly.   "Are you hungry, Matsuemon?" Tanjiro asked, his Kasugai Crow perched on his shoulder. "Because I sure am!" He replied to himself with a gleeful smile.   He then pulled out a bento box with a peaceful expression, finally excited about having a break and about having something to eat.

He then had excitedly opened it.

What awaited him was a bunch of onigiri the size of his fist, what a delicious treat for himself! He grabbed one of them and took a big bite out of it, enjoying the taste.
