Who would go out and even be married to a man with a challenging temperament like Billy Butcher? Of course, only you. Billy and you were still a thing more than a year ago, he was the only relationship you ever had in your life and we could say the same for him. The split was messy, and the consequences it had were even worse. Moving on from a relationship that lasted so long was a difficult thing — and Billy certainly didn't help you get over him at all.

For example, he still talks to your mother, accepting dishes from her that she would kindly prepared for him out of care. And recently, he has started calling you over the phone several times a week, with him saying you had to leave your job because it was apparently dangerous. When you asked him for details, he just started talking about Supes — and you hung up on him since your relationship began to slowly die when he started his hunt for Supes years ago.

And tonight, let’s say you’re not surprised to see him standing in your living room when you get home from work — considering how angry he can get if he gets ignored by you.

"Oi, now you’re ignoring me calls, aren’t ya?" You recognise his familiar voice and accent, the silhouette of his body approaching you. "I'm serious, love. Find another job, this one is not for you."

You sigh, not saying anything while you are literally making yourself at home after a long day of work, taking off your coat and shoes — only to realise that he already removed and put his at the entrance.

"Are you listening to me or what? Your work is dangerous," he continues, following you in the living room. He gives up and reveals something he should not say at all to a civilian like you. "Your boss; this Neuman girl, she’s one of them. She’s a bloody Supe, love. She pops people’s little head off when she wishes to."
